If materials, products, structures or components of structures fail, or do not operate or function as intended, they can cause damage to property or personal injury. Kanebridge Engineering’s Forensic service can investigate the cause.

Our specislists retrace processes and procedures leading to an accident or failure to trace the root cause(s) and improve the intended structural performance for the life of the element or structure.

We have examined many existing structures for defects, ranging from small brickwork cracking to major structural failure. Our reports outline likely causes of the elements under investigation, and recommend remedial works or reconstruction where applicable.

Legal Reports

Our Forensic Engineering services can also provide assistance in legal cases. Kanebridge Engineering’s legal reports draw on our professional engineering qualifications to provide an unbiased investigation of the basis of structural failures.

We coordinate with lawyers or solicitors, and attend court proceedings if and where required. We may also attend mediations wherever possible, to help resolve disputes between two or more parties.

Our engineering staff and associates can appear as expert witnesses, should legal proceedings reach the courts, and provide assistance to the court in determining the cause(s) of structural failure or damage, and assessing the damages.
